The great thing about skating is the freedom you feel on the ice that is similar to the feeling of flying or soaring through the air like a bird. The amount of tricks and fun maneuvers also make the sport exciting and engaging for young and old. The artistry in the sport is so breathtaking at the high levels and it’s fun to strive for that beauty and sport combined. The sport definitely teaches you so much about having dedication and discipline, working hard and having the courage and grit to keep pushing your limits day after day.

Josh Kohlmeier
In my skating career I had the privilege to travel the world, share my passion with many, and be inspired by the incredible people and athletes that I met along the way. My mission as a coach is to empower and inspire skaters by cultivating their technical skills, artistic abilities, and personal growth. I am committed to providing tailored guidance, fostering a love for the sport, and promoting a strong sense of discipline and sportsmanship. My goal is to support each skater in reaching their full potential, encouraging both their achievements and their journey on and off the ice.

Throughout my years as a competitive skater, I traveled the country and learned the value of persistence and hard work. It is important to educate students in life lessons just as much as skating maneuvers, and build confidence both on and off the ice. I am excited to work with anyone who is motivated and believes in having fun, pushing themselves, and standing up after a fall. I pride myself in my creativity and look forward to learning as much from my students as they do from me.

Jacki McCormick
I started skating at 9 years old and fell in love the moment I stepped on the ice! Skating brought me years of joy and growth on and off the ice. There are so many aspects of skating that are fulfilling and I strive to encourage all my skaters to find their own passion and journey in this wonderful, challenging, and rewarding sport. I love watching my skaters grow both in the sport and beyond the ice!

KatieLyn Miller
I have been a skater for 16 years. Most of my skating career was spent preparing for and skating at National Showcase (theatrical skating), where I frequently placed in my various events. Doing showcase skating taught me how to love this sport in a new and exciting way. My latest challenge has been attempting my international partnered ice dances. I have taught Learn to Skate for 6 years, and I love teaching all kinds of skaters, big and small. I’ve been offering private lessons for the past two years. My goal with every lesson is to first nurture a love for skating and sport and second to develop safe and intentional technique and progress.

Candace Pyun
What I love the most about skating is the freedom of expression. I hope to teach my students how to be more artistic, feel the music, use movement as a form of expression, and build life skills that will stay with them for life! We learn technique and disciplines on the ice, but most importantly we learn life skills that help us build character. My favorite thing to teach is body movement, choreography, expression and skating skills.

I’ve had the privilege of skating professionally in ice shows all over the world, which made me fall in love with the sport in a different way. I thrive on helping people find their unique way to love ice skating. Courtney Wetterich
With over 16 years of competitive experience, having been trained by Nationally-recognized and Olympic coaches, plus 10+ years in professional ice shows, I understand the importance of proper technique and performance quality. I adaps to each skater’s goals and learning style in order to fully develop their skill set and confidence, helping them reach their full potential. By creating a positive and encouraging environment, I hope to help skaters create their own path through the sport’s different opportunities, whether it be competitive, recreational, or performance centered.
